- Most common carpal coalition
- Incidence @ 0.1%; much more common in African-Americans
- Can be associated with Ellis-van Creveld syndrome, Holt-Oram syndrome, Turner's syndrome, and arthrogryposis

- Patients with a lunotriquetral coalition often have a widen scapholunate space which is a normal anatomic variant and not neccessarily scapholunate instability. (Metz VM, Radiology 1993;188:557)
Lunotriquetral Coalition Classification / Treatment
- Generally aymptomatic with no treatment required. Fibrous coalitions may be painful and require fusion.
